Programs & Daily Observances

Temporary Ordination

Temporary Ordination

Temporary ordination offers lay devotees the rare chance to live as a member of the Sangha for a set period — shaving the head, donning the robes, and following the monastic discipline under the close guidance of the resident monks. It is a profound immersion into renunciation, simplicity, and the daily rhythm of forest monastic life, suited to anyone wishing to taste the monastic path before returning to lay life.

  • Robes, alms bowl, and requisites provided
  • Guidance from the resident Sangha
  • Accommodation in a forest kuṭi
  • Daily meditation and Dhamma instruction
Daily Buddha Pūjāva & Dāna

Daily Buddha Pūjāva & Dāna

Each morning the aranya gathers for the Buddha pūjā and the offering of dāna to the Sangha. Devotees may sponsor or take part in the morning meal offering — one of the most direct and joyful expressions of generosity in the Buddhist tradition.

  • Morning Buddha pūjā in the shrine hall
  • Offering of dāna to the resident Sangha
  • Sharing and transference of merit
Daily Gilanpasa Pūjāva

Daily Gilanpasa Pūjāva

As dusk settles over the forest, the community gathers for the evening gilanpasa pūjā — the offering of allowable drinks and devotion to the Triple Gem. It is a quiet, reflective close to the day, open to all who wish to take part.

  • Evening offering in the shrine hall
  • Chanting and devotional observance
  • Open to lay devotees and visitors

Katina Pinkama
